April 7th 2009 -The Detroit City Council votes to demolish the train station.
April 13th 2009 -
Stanley Christmas along with the Eclipse Foundation file a lawsuit against the City of Detroit. Christmas says that the council's decision violates Title 16 Section 461 of the U.S. Code "that it is a national policy to preserve for public use historic sites, buildings, and objects of national significance for the inspiration and benefit of the people of the United States."
April 15th 2009 -
Walter Victor starts this site to help save the Michigan Central Depot... more coming soon including a petition which will be presented to the City of Detroit. I'm working fast to get this going.

On the advice of Mr. Christmas, I have added a blog to the site.

A hearing in the Detroit court system has been scheduled for May 29th. The petition is being overnighted to Mr. Christmas on Tuesday, the 26th. I am printing it out right now. The petition is going to be presented at the hearing and to the Detroit media as well. Thanks for everyones support and let's keep our fingers crossed!

The court hearing has been adjourned until June 12th - so we have a little more time to get as many signatures as we can until then!
